Somewhere in the Georgian countryside lies an abandoned Soviet flight school, left behind after the collapse of the USSR. Built to train military pilots, the facility includes decaying classrooms, offices, and remnants of aviation equipment. However, the site is located in a restricted area and is heavily guarded, with patrols regularly monitoring the grounds, making access nearly impossible.
Inside the classrooms, posters of Soviet aircraft like MiG and Sukhoi jets reportedly still hang on the walls. Military maps, likely used for training exercises, are scattered on desks alongside weathered books and documents. The facility also housed radar and electronic equipment, essential for teaching cadets how to navigate and operate aircraft systems.
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the flight school was abandoned, along with much of the USSR’s military infrastructure. Today, the site remains largely untouched but inaccessible to the public, offering only a distant glimpse into the aviation training practices of the Soviet era.
